Mass Media Sidesteps 9/11 Truth at Obama Rally Aaron Dykes / Jones Report | February 26, 2007 Press photos and video coverage of Barack Obama's stump speech Friday in Austin reveals further spineless and complicit behavior on the part of mainstream media in ignoring 9/11 Truth. Meanwhile, local news stations like News 8 Austin courageous showed the entire speech, including the very visible 'Investigate 9/11' sign previously reported. Their camera frame wasn't very different from the version filmed by a cameraman with The Project for a New American Citizen (PNACitizens) , a University of Texas student group who have been active in exposing 9/11. Mainstream media heavyweights Reuters and the Associated Press published several dozen photos each of freshman Senator Barack Obama's appearance in Austin, Texas. (View Reuters/AP Photos Here) NONE of their photos from nearly every conceivable angle belied the reality that a huge 'Investigate 9/11' sign loomed over the political rally, even though the sign appeared prominently near the stage for more than ten minutes during the speech which lasted roughly half an hour.
In footage shot by the PNACitizens, the sign dominates shots of the crowd during every cheer. Matt Dayton, a member of PNACitizens, reported today on Alex Jones' nationally syndicated radio show that members of the press complained audibly about the sign, including hissing and booing sounds. One of the event organizers came up to him in the crowd, asking him to take down the sign because it was too big and was "really, really in the way".
Additionally, one member of the crowd tried forcibly to pull down Dayton's arm, which was holding up the 9/11 sign. As the above video reveals, the crowds person was unsuccessful, and cracked a defeated smile afterwards-- having tried to silence free speech with assault.
One press photographer waded through the large crowd to step in front of the sign in order to take unobstructed photos.
This is yet another example of the mainstream media sidestepping 9/11 Truth-- exposed by activists demanding that 9/11 be addressed and investigated. This fearful adherence to the official story echoed the more startling media blindness to massive 9/11 Truth demonstrations at Ground Zero on the Fifth Anniversary of 9/11- though protesters literally surrounded the public viewing area, network TV completely filmed around it, showing none of the thousands of Truthers wearing black 'Investigate 9/11' shirts. Barack Obama did not address the 9/11 sign, though proximity dictates that he almost certainly saw it. This is in keeping with his previous response to an Infowars reader who inquired about his willingness to investigate government complicity in the attacks. (SEE BELOW) 9/11 Questions Follow Obama Campaign Trail to Austin Aaron Dykes / Jones Report | February 23, 2007 Austin, Texas - Presidential Hopeful Barack Obama was surrounded by the "Investigate 9/11" Question during an otherwise energetic-- and, for a "grassroots" campaign, curiously well-coordinated-- campaign rally in Austin, Texas. Members of the University of Texas student group The Project for a New American Citizen brought the large sign seen in photographs and video hoping to remind Obama that he-- and any other Presidential candidates in 2008-- will continue to be confronted on a new investigation for the largest crime on U.S. soil in history. While his over-looking such non-politically correct issues is not surprising, we continue to hope that candidates will listen to over-whelming demands for better answers and truth. The first term senator recently responded to the concerns of an Infowars reader over 'government complicity in the 9/11 attacks.' The response is largely evasive, falling back on the 'government blunders and mistakes' account of the Official 9/11 story. That response is posted below. May Senator Obama not turn his back on 9/11 Inquiries in the future.
THIS RESPONSE FROM SEN. OBAMA, AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED: Democrat Presidential frontrunner Senator Barack Obama has responded to a question posed by an Infowars reader regarding government complicity in the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks. Three months after the reader sent Obama a correspondence outlining her great concern that criminal elements of the government were directly complicit in the attacks, the Senator sent the following response via email, which was then forwarded to us:
