Rudy Still 'Mr. 9/11' To You JonesReport.com | November 16, 2007 Despite recent MSM headlines like 'Giuliani begins to move beyond Sept. 11' aimed at adding the appearance of depth in the spotlight of the election, Rudy tracked back to his bread-and-butter for a recent ABC interview. Giuliani used questions on a number of topics to weave into the larger weave of his 9/11-based consciousness, including a claim that he decided to run for president after the attacks (despite an eye at a 2000 run circa 1998). It was also fused in with his thinly-veiled publicity-stunt phone call to his wife in the middle of a speech before the NRA which turned focus from his unsteady ground over the protection of the 2nd Amendment (he shifted from outright gun control advocacy to the still Constitution-threatening statement that "Your right to bear arms is based on a reasonable degree of safety") Instead, the man Fox News calls 'Mr. 9/11' is the same as he ever was, '9/11 all the time, every time' as MSNBC refers to him. This clip pairs his most recent 9/11 references with his long-string of forward-projecting nostalgia for the United States' darkest hour.
