Giuliani Initiates Attack on Hillary, Hailing the Effective End of Scripted GOP Primaries
Staged Elections Threaten to Backfire as Ron Paul Approaches Critical Mass and Phony Opponents Thompson & Romney Prove Too Stale to Prolong Republican In-Fighting

Aaron Dykes / JonesReport.com | October 10, 2007

Rudy Giuliani, and the mainstream media that has long since anointed him, have moved on from the Republican primary as we know it, pretending nobody else is in the room, and has begun to take on Hillary Clinton in the long- promised, pre-scripted match-up.

Giuliani's supposed GOP rivals have all failed to register a pulse and supplanted believable tension with forced jokes and manufactured rifts. Ron Paul, on the other hand, has gained too much momentum for the establishment to sit comfortably-- and neither 'empty suit' Romney nor 'debate dud' Thompson will succeed in misdirecting Paul's legitimate challenge to Giuliani's preeminence.

So, Giuliani used his overwhelming lion's share of time in the CNBC debates to take on Hillary, the heir apparent, instead of his GOP challengers. And why not? Both Bush and Giuliani have already "predicted" that she will win the party's nomination and former Clinton staff members have now moved in with the Bush Administration to facilitate the upcoming transition.

Mainstream media pundits, including Chris Matthews, seemingly desired to fast-forward through the stale primary season to the equally staged clash-to-be between puppets Clinton and Giuliani.

Not only did the debate moderators throw Clinton-related questions at Giuliani, the former mayor was also given a disturbingly unequal amount of face-time. Pundits force-fed back-to-back questions for Giuliani, including numerous follow-up questions and calls to clarify unremarkable responses.

While Giuliani was cued to filibuster time away from legitimate debate by jabbing at Hillary, joking about baseball and otherwise rambling without substance, 'lesser' candidates were hurried through "quick, down-the-line" 30 second answers and otherwise ignored.

Ron Paul was sidelined and forced into obscurity during the economic debates he otherwise would have flourished in, save the semi-notable moment when Giuliani attempted to contradict Ron Paul by invoking 9/11 when discussing imminent attack.

The debate handlers, led by MSNBC's Chris Matthews, were obviously aware that Giuliani's pre-selection was see-through and prompted Paul and Tancredo to profess an oath of loyalty to support the Republican nominee before knowing who it would be.

Ron Paul refused to do so, citing that he would only support a Republican nominee who is against the war in Iran and willing to pullout troops in Iraq.

Paul was systematically attacked in post-debate discussion, as pundits lined up to call the Congressman "crazy" and portray him as a "weak candidate" dragging down the primary because he plans to remain in the race.

Pundits blamed the Internet, the "ability to raise money" and the debates themselves-- which allow 'anyone' who can afford a plane ticket and a cheap motel to gain national media exposure-- for enabling Paul with unnatural vitality and thereby posing an actual threat to the pre-ordained establishment candidate.

In reality, it is Thompson and Romney who are running for purposes of vanity and only seek to shield Giuliani from real competition, standing by as insurance candidates, should the former mayor over-cook before his staged showdown with Clinton officially begins.

Behind the hype, real windows are being closed for primary registration dates. Politicos are hedging that Ron Paul's support is polling from anti-war Democrats and Independents and have moved up deadlines in a likely effort to block any real change from occurring (closed primaries require Republican registration to vote for Ron Paul).

Yet, as many have argued, Ron Paul's anti-war position coupled with his role as a true conservative makes him the only candidate who could defeat Hillary-- precisely the reason the New World Order has cemented Giuliani as the clear GOP shill in the upcoming one-party election, ensuring a Clinton dynasty in the White House.
