Why The Quiet Release Of The Doubletree 9/11 Video?
Where was the FOX news fanfare? Total media blackout suggests new strategy may be to ignore 9/11 questions

There has been a total media blackout on the release of the Doubletree Hotel video that shows the explosion at the Pentagon on 9/11 but does not reveal any footage of the impact. This may suggest that the corporate media has adopted a new strategy of ignorance towards questions concerning the official 9/11 story.

As we predicted last month, the Doubletree hotel video shows little more than a grainy explosion far away in the background, and answers none of the rather murky "was it flight 77?" questions that have threatened to dominate the overall truth movement.

However, it was rather surprising to find that the video release went almost totally unreported. One would think that this aspect of the most significant event in modern history desveres a mention, however, only a short CNN news report covered the video, and there have been no other media reports on the issue, mainstream or local.

Back in May when the original "parking lot" video was released, there was a huge fanfare with every news network waiting in anticipation to bash down the conspiracy theorists. Fox news pundits were salivating as the minutes ticked down toward the release of the footage which was hyped up by Judicial Watch as proof positive that it was indeed flight 77 that struck the Pentagon.

This time, however we have seen the total opposite and you have to wonder why.

Last month we wrote:

The danger is clearly that the government will use its media mouthpieces in particular Fox News to hype the Pentagon issue until it becomes the de facto keystone of alternative explanations behind 9/11. At the point when that crescendo reaches its peak crystal clear footage of Flight 77 hitting the Pentagon (whether real or faked) will be released, knocking down the straw man argument that the establishment itself erected.

Given that the FBI has admitted that there are eighty plus more videos in their possession, this was a justified concern. Now it seems that this strategy may have changed. Is the issue being shut down for good or are elements within the media heeding our warning that hyping this even more can only serve to hinder the truth movement overall?

The release date of the video was seemingly delayed until after the mid-term elections so as not to attract attention and accusations that it was being used to sway votes.

Another reason for the quiet release may be that the footage was secured not by Judicial Watch, but by the owners of 9/11 truth website www.flight77.info, a site that encourages questions over the collapse of the towers and building 7. Any subsequent report would have drawn attention to this website and the further questions at hand.

It is not really surprising that the Doubletree video shows nothing, given the hotel's location. However, the debate over the rest of the tapes will continue, particularly given that I cannot imagine anyone sitting down and watching this blurry video "in horror" over and over, as was reported by Bill Gertz and the Washington Times shortly after 9/11.

We have previously voiced our suspicions that there is clearer footage of the impact in existence and that it may be from another hotel, perhaps the Sheraton, which has a much clearer and closer view of the impact scene. The FBI have denied that such a video exists.

The issue is far from concluded and we should continue to push for the release of all video seized from the area by the authorities on 9/11.
