Now the Revolution moves on Mitch W / Nolan Chart | January 9, 2008 Ron Paul pulled about eight percent of the vote in Tuesday's New Hampshire primary. The Independents didn't help him. Hell, the Republicans didn't even help him. Another article pointed out that if ten percent of the country is behind a candidate, the odds are poor for a victory. This may, in fact, be true. But it's about time someone took a second to put this in perspective. Despite it's name, this revolution has NEVER been about Ron Paul. It has been about sensible policies, both foreign and economic, and a vision for the future. It has been about freedom. And hope. It has been about a group of people that want to take care of themselves, and nothing more. In two or three years Ron Paul may very well be viewed as that crazy old kook who somehow raised an enormous sum of money. But in ten or fifteen years, he will be something much more. Ron Paul will be seen as the one man that was screaming the truth, while the rest of the country looked away and tumbled into ruin. And as the quality of life in the United States continues to plummet, the people of the country will finally realize that they have, for years, been betrayed by the people that were intended to lead them. We need to continue this movement, despite the outcome of any poll or primary or election. We can't just stand around and wait for the disaster that is likely coming. The MSM is expecting the quiet that will follow stumbling in Paul's campaign. The opposite needs to happen. We need to all be leaders at this point. Each and every one of us needs to become a Ron Paul. Read up on the serious problems plaguing this land (economics, foreign relations). Read the Constitution. Realize what it really means to be a patriot. Become a patriot. And tell the powers-that-be in this country that the American people don't believe in these politics. They don't believe in this war. They don't believe everything they hear. Tell them that the American people believe in individual rights. And freedom. The future of our country, and our children, depend on it.
